imtbooI didn't realize until I began to pack this that this is the thing we own that I value and prize the most.
Our wedding bowl...
It was neat to see how the sands were so well blended together and how with each move, they will continue to blend further.
What a nice metaphor.
I also got to hold each rock in my hand as I placed it in a bag. It was like a very touching goodbye to our community. It was also nice to rediscover the tree below everything !
Perhaps I will let J. unpack it in San Francisco so he can "unpack" and welcome our community to San Francisco.
This bowl means more to me than the photographs.
It is just special and beautiful.
On a sad note, the wife of the potter who made the bowl is currently on her dead bed, after a long sickness.
I sent her and her family loving kindness while packing the bowl...
