Quick answer to a frequent RL question.

Often, the guys I work with (DJs, bouncers, managers, etc.) ask me, "So...what do you think about when you're doing a dance?"

Well, okay.

During stage dances, I'm generally just moving with the flow of the beat. I tend to do a quick calculation in my head of number of customers x 2 (the usual tip for a stage set). I take that total, and that's my estimated take for that particular set. I add that to what I know I already have (let's say the estimate is $40, and the previous amount is $80, giving me $120 by the time I'm done my round). That, or guessing the heritage of the customers based upon facial shape. I get pretty bored up there sometimes xD

During private dances, it depends. The quick, four minute dances where the customer generally doesn't speak-I usually make a shopping list in my head of stuff I need, or how I have to do so-and-so when I get home, or something like that. Boring stuff. The extended, half-hour dances-I usually am talking to the customer during the dance, since most of the time they request the dance so they can sit and talk with a pretty lady without distraction. It's generally whatever the customer wants to chat about, though I don't pull punches with my opinions if they bring up a topic I'm interested in (:

So, there you go.

Also! Some of you have expressed interest in knowing what I look like. I don't post pictures here (except for clarification purposes), so if you wanna know, head over to my main journal, squigglz.
