You'll never believe it, but....
Oh man, Stephanie supplied me with one of the greatest misheard lyrics ever today. We were in the process of formulating what I like to feel is our definitive song list for the big night, and trying to decide where to put a particular Genesis song. The song I reference is Invisible Touch. Everyone knows this song, we all grew up with it. However I play it a few times and Steph says, "I don't know...Physical Attraction?"
So I kind of did a double take. Derr...physical attraction? What are you talking about? Obviously she thought that the song I was playing was something else. But then I thought to myself...what song is called "Physical Attraction?"
So then both of us begin to realize that perhaps she has been misinterpreting the lyrics all these years. But...Physical Attraction in place of Invisible Touch?
So I play the song and skip to the refrain, and lo and behold, one can easily tell that you could hear physical attraction there. Steph and I had a hearty laugh, and now every time I hear that song for the rest of my life I'm gonna hear physical attraction.
