Jazz Fest
So I know I haven't updated since Thanksgiving...
There have been lots of things since then: Christmas, Mardi Gras, and most recently a Showgirls interactive party... It's been a good time here in NOLA.
BUT yesterday I went to the first day of jazz fest and saw Bob Dylan and Ani Difranco and it was all pretty amazing, There were also a lot of people who weren't wearing shoes and had dreds and opted for crepe paper skirts or those cotton tunic (brightly colored) shirts and I was very pleased. I want to be one of them (sans dreds).
Bob Dylan is interesting to see in concert -- mostly because 1) he doesn't sing any melody the same ever and 2) you can't understand what he's saying most of the time. There were, in fact, several instances when I knew a song, but didn't know that I knew it until it was almost over. That said, it was still pretty freaking amazing.
Ani was Ani.

Today I'm going to day two: Dave Matthews, Etta James -- this will be great!
