December Has Begun

WEDNESDAY:
The best part about this day was Kevin's speech. It was just about riding a bike versus driving. When he was setting up a video, it wasn't cued up so the first thing we saw on screen were a few of his friends smoking a joint in the garage. Quite the "oh, fuck" moment for him. Just a little fast forwarding and blushing.

THURSDAY:
Pretty typical day. Discussed love in Psychology and had a final review session in History. Afterward, I was going to head to the gym but just wanted to take a nap. Instead, I called Flower Hill to see if Goodnight and Good Luck was playing soon. It was playing in 15 minutes so I decided to go and see it. Nick Beasley was working there so I got in for free, which is quite nifty. It was a good movie. The best aspects were it's cinematography, acting, and soundtrack. Especially good use of long shots, close-ups, and contrasting focuses.

After the movie, I felt like going to the gym and I did. So that's that. When I got home, I had the urge to raid my dad's music collection. For some reason, probably the Rolling Stones concert and happening across Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, I've been investing a bit of interest in the classics. So I burned a bunch of stuff; the Beatles, Yes, Jimi Hendrix, etc. I also bought The Doors a week ago and have been listening to it constantly. It's like taking Dewey Finn's class and I gotta cram before Battle of the Bands.

Around 6 or so, Ashton invited me to go and see Rent but we both kinda canceled on that. Then she got invited to go with someone else. Then I got invited to go with someone else. Dan spent about 20 minutes trying to convince me to go, even though I was pretty tired. Eventually, I gave in. Persistent bastard. But I was glad I went. I've never seen the play, but I liked the movie a lot. So now I need to get the soundtrack. Dan picked me up and we went to the Regal Cinema in Oceanside, which is pretty nice. Got home about midnight.

TODAY:
Got up at 7:15 for the Senate meeting. Went to San Elijo because that's where the email said it'd be, but it was in Oceanside. So I had to drive a bit more. The meeting finally ended around 11:30 and then I had to head to the Honda dealership in Carlsbad because my car's been due for a service appointment. It took until about 3, so I went to the Carlsbad outlet mall with my mom, who had met up with me. She thought I needed new clothes, which I do, so I got some new slick stuff. Finally, I make it home. I've been exhausted and naseous for most of the day, but I can't seem to fall asleep for a nap. So I've been music-hunting instead.

That's pretty much where I am now.
