I can only give 100%
The first bike race of my year was last Saturday at Willow Park. I finished 2nd place out of 9 in my class, +40 seconds from the leader with a total time of 33:07 for 13.3 miles. Do the math on that and you get about 24 MPH average, but still, i was 15 seconds slower than last year. That wasn’t due to a lack of effort though, my heart rate monitor reports that my average heart rate was around 195 for the race, somewhere around 97% of my max, and for over half an hour of that I nearly died.
Moving on, IT’S MAY! Only 1 month till summer break!
