So the other day I, being in need of some unique memories of the summer, decided that I would go an entire night without sleep. I started this by watching some late night TV till around 3 at which point I went out. So I walked around the hill and my old school for some time and on my way I found a nice un-locked bike and proceeded to ride it around the parking lot. Then I decided to take it for a joy ride until morning.
This is where the good parts happen. I went home to get some Gatorade and fill up the bike tires with air and in the process I woke up my dad, at 4:30. He was pretty much like "what the hell are you awake for?!". But he was tired, so it came out more like "*glare* uhh... ok...” So I continued on my journey, and with nowhere else to go, "sure, why not?" and I was on my way to Molly's house... at 4-something am.
So I get out and realize that people are actually starting to wake up, and it's not even 5 yet! Crazy, but most of them are delivering newspapers. When I arrive I start thinking "hmm... I should leave something so she believes I actually was here... but what?" (I don't actually talk to myself, these are just mental quotes). "Flowers! one? mmmaybe two... nah, three?... four?... seven!". Later I found out that her mom was actually awake at this time, really strange.
I needed something else to pass the time now, and having been committed to riding almost 15 miles I didn't want to go back just yet. Riding around randomly I spotted a vacuum cleaner on the curb, an evil smirk appeared on my face, and somehow that vacuum cleaner ended up next to someone's car door... at 5am. You know who you are. Now I felt fulfilled.
I returned my hijacked Trek to it's original spot, plus around 30psi in the tires, went home, got my camera, and headed for the lake. It was now a bit after 6am, a strong cold breeze was blowing off the lake, and the morning athletes were out in force; one of them offering to pose for my picture as he jogged by. Boring part is now... I take pictures... go home... cook breakfast... my parents wake up and go "WTF?!"... I stay up 37.5 hours... I sleep till 2pm the next day... and that’s about it.
That was quite a story, now here's some pictures.
