This is my third Wwoofing experience in Taiwan. So far it's been not been too bad. When I arrived I was introduced to 3 other Wwoofers. At first they were all talking to me in English, and some of their English was a bit confusing, so I told them I like it when people speak chinese with me, wich they all seemed fine about. Today we were mopping the guesthouse floor - apparently there was a flood in a typhoon that must have brought a load of dirt in. I found that I was mostly just hanging around chatting with the other Wwoofers and trying to follow their conversations. They seem like good fun joking around, pretending to be japanese for example. Unfortunately I miss the finer points of their banter and discussion though. It does kinda make me look forward to Wwoofing in Australia where I will be able to chat freely with other Wwoofers and hosts, but for now I'm still able to joke around a little, mostly using gestures. There are a lot of mosquitoes here, everyone is getting bitten to threads so the host bought 3 electic mosquito raquets. I suggested we should sleep waving them infront of our faces, for example.
I'm looking forward to hopefully working in the land tomorrow... I hope anyway - I'm not sure what we'll be doing...
Oh, and when I picked up my laptop, there were a load of tiny ants underneath it. I opened it up and lots more ants came out of it. They were all hiding inside the keyboard for some reason. Maybe there were a load of crumbs in there or something, although the computer is quite new and I turn it upside-down regularly.
