I have a working holiday visa to Australia - starting from the moment I land on Auzzie soil.
So, Plan is, if I can get it sorted I'll head out late July. Otherwise and especially if I get lots of work going in Taiwan, I might take another visa run and then head out late October.
I want to appreciate everything I have in Taiwan while I still have it.
Here are a few things I will definately miss when in Aus.
How cheap everything is. For example:
I barely have to consider costs when travelling.
Eating out is more cost effective than cooking
My rent is rediculously cheap, as are bills and I can live on my own.
All my friends here
There's a lot going on in Taipei
Chinese food
It being so easy to learn chinese
However, I am looking forward to the following things, which I don't really have here:
possibly having a garden and being able to grow crops
People not knowing I'm a foreigner at first glance
I'll be able to understand signs, read labels on food, leaflets, books, etc.
Leading on from that - second hand books shops, with loads of readable books inside
I'll probably add to this list as I think of stuff.
lists,
traveling,
australia,
predictions.
