Dear 'Scott Peterson,' The Person Who Called in the Bomb Threat Today,

Scotty, Scotty, Scotty. First things first. If you're going to call in a bomb threat, please have the common courtesy to call the school before 1:15. Honestly, any time after noon is a waste. If you want to get out of school, try for most of the day, not just the last hour. Was your last class that bad that you couldn't just wait until Wednesday to skip, when it would be second block? That way, you could get from 9am on completely free. Seems like a better situation to me, but hey. What do I know, right?

Second, you cancelled my track meet. Today was a pretty nice day, 70 and sunny. Pretty decent running weather for everyone; maybe a little hot for the two milers. But still, nothing too horrendous. TOMORROW, however, the day I believe we're having the meet now, is supposed to be 85 degrees. Eighty-five is just not a happy temperature for anyone, especially for anyone who runs over a 400, I'd say. So thanks for making my track meet even more fanstastic than it was going to be. Because I was so looking forward to competing against Stoneham, you just had to make it more suspensful.

But the real kicker, the one that has me the most angry, is that you called in your stupid bomb threat in the middle of my AP French test. It's safe to say that I wasn't having a party in there, reading passages that I understood half of in a language that I'm far from fluent in, but honestly, I've been prepping for this test since September. I had half an hour of reading left, and then it was my break and I was going to have snacks and bitch and moan about how hard the test was. And then I was going to go back and write my essay and do my fill-ins and speak in broken, incoherent French, and then I was going to be gloriously, gloriously done with one of my four AP tests.

Instead, you forced me and my classmates to leave our tests, and now we have to make them up during the makeup session, the week after AP tests are finished. In case this hasn't hit you yet, I HAVE TO COME IN AFTER MY LAST DAY OF SCHOOL TO FINISH MY AP FRENCH TEST. And guess what? I'm probably going to have to do more AP homework between now and then, just because the madness will NOT be over, like it should be. So thanks, Scotty, for buying me more homework and an excuse to come back to high school after I should have been able to leave. THANKS A LOT.

I would like nothing more than to punch you,
Lauren
