I'm back from the most amazing and wonderful experience of my life. France was amazing, and as soon as I got off the plane I wanted to go back.
The first few days I spent in Nice and Cannes with my host, Sarah. I got to go ice skating (where there was a fire and we all had to evacuate the building in our socks and wait outside for 2 hours until we could go back and get our shoes), to a carnival, to Monaco and go to work with Sarah (where I translated spa bathtub descriptions for 6 miserable hours), go to Cannes instead of school, talk to French students about the differences between France and the U.S., and eat tons of Morrocan food, because Sarah's family was Morrocan.
Then we hopped on a plane to Paris where I got to see all the amazing sights and spend a rediculous amount of money. I got to have dinner in the Eiffel Tower, eat French food from a boulangerie, see the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo, walk along the Seine, go shopping in the Latin Quarter, and help get Sam and Sherb get packed up in 5 minutes after having them fall back asleep after their morning wake up call. I didn't go to bed before 2am the entire time I was in Paris, and it was so much fun.
I can't wait to go back.
