Home at last

I'm back from Pismo Beach/Las Vegas/the random middle of no where part of California between the two. I had a fabulous time, I got to see my grandparents for the first time in 6 years and my cousin for the first time in 7 or 8.

I didn't realize that the California coast is cold and foggy in June, but it's true; it is. All of my shorts and tank tops stayed in the RV for the entire trip, and if you look at pictures I am wearing the exact same thing in every single one, despite the fact that they're taken over a period of 6 days, and that's because it was COLD and I didn't not anticipate that. So for the future, be ye not so stupid, and bring more than one sweatshirt.

We hauled 6 quads (ATVs) and a "Rhino" (basically a glorified golf cart with space shuttle seat belts, 4-wheel drive, and a roll cage) from Pahrump to Pismo, and so we rode those every day we were at the beach, because Pismo Beach has an enormous expanse of sand dunes. That was awesome, and only once did I almost kill myself. I was proud.

When I got home tonight everything looked so weird. I walked into my kitchen and it wasn't wide and open, and there were stainless steel appliances instead of white ones. And when I walked into my foyer, there were STAIRS, which I hadn't had to climb in 2 weeks. And when I walked into my room and turned on my computer, it was like I had been beamed down from another planet, this thing in front of me looked so weird, and typing was really freaky for about 5 minutes. It was like being in the Twilight Zone or something.
