what do those pesky Mayans know, anyway?
I am still recalibrating after our usual Holiday Travels of Epic Scale (the slight case of bronchitis didn't help). Thus I present to you the following thoughts, in no particular order:
- I read a lot more fic this year while traveling, thanks to both Instapaper, the Kindle, and the combination of both. Books, not so much, although I did finish All Clear and Mira Grant's Feed - zombies! politics! geek references galore! Guess it shouldn't surprise me she's a filker.
- speaking of fic, there were some lovely fics posted for both spn_j2_xmas and spn_reversebang [sorry, not sure how to do the in-LJ links from DW]. No specific recs at the mo since I'm a lazy so-and-so.
- until just now I'd forgotten about Yuletide. Well, there's my weekend taken care of.
- that Solstice fic I was writing? Still 3/4 finished.
- Mission Impossible is loud and ridiculous.
- Totally! Psyched! for the return of Justified.
- didn't reup for getyourwordsout, as I wanted to privilege some other writing goals. More on that later, hopefully.
- every time I come back to writing after a layoff, it's a bit easier than the last time.
