Words from an Internet stranger that resonated with me this morning:

Obama will never have my support. I am not in his we because he is the most pro-death president we have ever had. Ugh. Such an awful place to be in this year. Mitt was not my choice, but if it will get Obama out of office, I will gladly vote for him.

I agree with the sentiment you're sharing here (about President Obama being uncomfortably pro-abortion), but have difficulty with the words you used to express it. In my opinion, "pro-life" applies to sooooo much more than just unborn children. It's a grievous mistake to value unborn humans over born humans ... and visa versa. Both are in God's image, and I think that fatalities from war (which a president does have a direct impact over) have to be included in the death count when giving someone a label as somber as "pro-death." And in that case, perhaps President Roosevelt during WWII might possibly be the most "pro-death" president? I dunno ... I've been looking for numbers and am not finding anything easily.

As a country, our numbers on abortion are staggering ... they take my breath away in that awful punch-in-the-stomach sort of way, really. :-(

I saw this phrase on Facebook the other day: "Picking a favorite presidential candidate this year is like picking a favorite STD."

Anyway... Good morning, my favorite pregnant-mama

Obama was silent on stopping infanticide in Illinois. He really needs to get us out of Afghanistan. Ugh, I could go on and on. I'm for life on all levels. I've always thought the term pro-choice was just a way of hiding what's really going on...since back in my democrat days. I've always thought that the term pro-choice was deceptive. I've watched abortion hurt so many and kill those (nieces & nephews) that I love, so I'm sorry if my wording seems offensive...but it is something very personal for me.

Anyway, I'm good! Are you all doing a gender reveal party or anything?

Yes, pro-choice is totally a deceptive term! One of the regular sites I read online is Slate.com (kinda to get the "other" side of things), and you wouldn't believe how angry and militant its so-called "pro-choice" readers/commenters get when someone decides to choose life for their kid... It's such a double standard. Ugh.

We have had more Americans die from abortion than from war, so I'm totally okay with judging a politician's sanctity of life stance based on abortion votes ... just didn't want to see war deaths completely excluded as a factor. :-)

Baby's gender stays a secret for the rest of the world until he or she is born! If it were just me, I wouldn't care if anyone knew or not, but Gerry has some strong feelings about this ... so a secret it stays. What about you?

I guess with military still being a volunteer status, it makes it more of a "they knew when they signed up just what they were getting into" thing to me. And the Bible talks of a time for war and a time for peace. I hate war and death, but in the womb, a baby has no choice. And when a liberal is in office, it is horrible for military members. They say they're cutting artillery, etc, but it was our family support center and our medical care that got cut. We were in the AF for 8 years and never got above a poverty line income. We qualified for food stamps, WIC, etc. It wasn't until Bush got in office that we finally got a raise. Anyway, I'll hush.

We will find out the gender. I might do a reveal party for some family and friends. I don't care if it's a boy or girl. Just praying for a healthy baby and delivery. :-). Praying for that for you too!
