I have the skeletons of half a dozen journal entries written at any given time, stashed away for a time when I can revisit them with greater mental acuity. But usually what ends up happening is that I forget that they exist and ... la la la la la la ... many months later I discover them and barely remember what my half-thoughts mean!
Today I rediscovered a list of the year's accomplishments that I abandoned in early September. So often I feel bored and unexciting, but the list proves that it's been a full year!
- Kicked off the inaugural Disney Dreamers Academy with Steve Harvey!
- Started a new job with The JESUS Film Project (CrossRoads)

- Got my little brother safely home from Iraq
- Recieved a beautiful Canon Digital RebelXT 350 from my brother
- Went canoing and camping in the Ozarks

- Trespassed in a WWII army bunker with my brother

- Acted as a featured extra in the short film Don't Hold Your Breath
- Met chippa, mccurn, blessings101, emily-schlicter, jamielee02, gem_gamgee, kantsuu, rideforruin, and over a dozen of Gerry's kids
- Moved Gerry across the country and into my parents' house
- Asked Gerry to chop my hair ... really short
- Encouraged Gerry to apply to work with me; he got the job
- Designed a 36-page booklet eventually published by Campus Crusade

- Developed an annoying case of TMJ dislocation
- Paid $43 to fill my gas tank in June, and paid $20 to fill it in November
Wow! That's a lot. I'm sure that if I put my mind to it, I'd come up with some more things, too.
Also, an unrelated thought: I am really looking forward to meeting Johnny and June Carter Cash in heaven, if heaven works like that!
His cover of the song "Hurt" moves me.
