busy summer nights

Funny how much attention the name "Benny Hinn" gets. Seriously. I mean, say "Brad Pitt" and the conversation lasts all of two minutes. "Benny Hinn," and it goes for days. I am not trying to make any sort of judgement here, just commenting that it's interesting.

Last night, there was a going-away party for my friend Tim who is leaving work for a radio station job. Traditional cake and cards? Not for us! We had pizza and a water fight at Doris's house! By the end of the night, all but Doris and myself were in the pool -- clothes and all.

Even though nobody's getting drenched in the shot, here is my favorite photo from the evening:

And this next one is a shot of the outfit I was wearing all day; I got so many compliments at work! It was my first day doing a new job -- long story there that I don't have time to think through right now -- and I wanted to feel professional and grown-up.

All right! I'm out the door now. Just did a wedding rehearsal and the bride invited me to come to the rehearsal dinner. Yay!

Pray for me, if you don't mind. Will need lots of energy tomorrow, as it's a busy Saturday -- people think it's a "holy day" (7-7-07) and will be swarming this "holy place" -- and I have been low on sleep and health this week. And additionally there are two events in the evening -- Melisa's wedding, and then a group of 620 vegetarians who rented the park for themselves. Haha, Gerry asked how me many people would be working tomorrow night. "All of them," I replied. Yup, we don't have the staff for two shifts, so practically everybody will be working a 15-20 hour day.

The end. Bye-bye! Shalom! Sayonara! Peace out....
