Guess who won the employee of the year award at our Christmas party tonight?
Guess who's going on an all-expenses paid, time-off paid, wonderful 4-day cruise on the Sovereign of the Seas?
Guess who has a dozen and a half roses sitting in a vase on the kitchen counter?
Guess who has her own parking space for a year?

No, I'm kidding. It's me! I have a horrible case of survivor's guilt right now, as I was joking with people at my table all night that I was going to receive this award ... I didn't know ... I was just joking. But man, my jaw was hanging open from more than just delighted shock when they called my name. Wow.
In addition to receiving the Caribbean cruise as a reward for the employee of the year thing, I won a separate day cruise during the door prizes. Very, very cool! Debbie will go on the Caribbean cruise with me, I think, and Michael and I are already planning which of the Rivership Romance packages we'd like to take. Probably it will be one of the evening cruises because there's dancing at night, and we like that. :-)
We didn't go to the Christmas party as a couple or anything -- in fact, we sat separately -- but Michael did the portrait thing with me. First time, we did a tango pose, then the second time was more traditional. We also had a portrait done with glazedice and her boyfriend, who's Michael's roommate.
We had a live three-piece string band at the party! Michael ditched his food and everything to come dance with me during "Feliz Navidad." That was fun! He is all about dips and spins and twirls. We haven't danced since New Years....
