Yeah, I mean I'm definitely not a lesbian. It's because I have this friend whom I hang out with a lot and tbh we are pretty much the same person; both happy to stay in instead of going out, both horribly socially anxious, both into similar things, finishing each other's sentences, emailing each other 24/7. Even if we've just got home after spending the ENTIRE day together, we'll still log on to the internet when we get home and email each other. It's quite amazing lol. We never run out of things to say to one another.

It just so happens that, because my friend has never shown any interest in guys, and I don't have much interest in guys my age (I like them much older...House-old lol. I'm a strange one...) my mum has sort of got it into her head that my friend might be gay, so she constantly asks me, "Ellie...blah blah."

And it's the way she says it as well. It's sort of like, "You're not *gulp* gay...are you?" And that annoys me because I'm all for gay pride etc and I think I'm pretty much accepting of anything, but sometimes parents just don't seem to get that.

I mean, when it comes down to it, I'll happily come right out and say (mainly because this is the internet and I'm pretty sure I'm safe to say it on here in half-private lol) I'm not 100% straight. And I don't mind admitting that. I only say that because I could, at some point in my life, see myself with another female if she was the right person.

If I had to put a number to it, I'd say I was 85% into guys and 15% into girls, so probability says that I'm likely to be with a guy anyway. So I don't want to say I'm bisexual, simply because I don't feel like I should until I'm actually put in that position where there's a girl...and stuff. (*grins* that felt good to say. I've never said it to anyone before...)

Haha, sorry I just realised how long I ranted on for there. Apologies lol. I got mega-carried away.

But yeah, almost everything in that article was drawn from stuff my friend and I either did do or conspired to do to freak my mum out. It's hilarious. I should video some of her reactions and put them on youtube or something... XD

Ha! I love that. Yeah, I'd probably say that's me as well.

My parents aren't exactly anti-gay...but I get the impression that they wouldn't be best pleased if I was gay. On occasion they make silly comments about gay people, like if they see two guys kissing on TV (i.e in Torchwood if you've seen it where Captain Jack kisses that other guy...) they always have to make some horrible comment about it and my dad goes on to say how 'wrong' it is. And I'm just like, "Eurgh, shut up dad, I'm trying to watch this! We don't get enough man-kissings on TV as it is!!!"

...Obviously I didn't say that to him...if my parents found out about my epic love for slash and stuff, they might kill me lol.
