Awesome guy and new site

I went to the Waterside Festival near my house yesterday and decided to stay and watch Poetry Hour. I was blown away by this lovely man, Ian Barker (AKA Alex Sykie).

One of his poems was hilarious. It was called, "Your Cromulent Love Embiggens Me," obviously referencing The Simpsons. Another was really sad! Though I do have a habit of getting over emotional when people read their work to me. I was terrible in English class. My teacher would read Robert Frost and I'd have to sing 'Gay Boyfriend' in my head to stop myself from crying in the middle of things. Silly times. But anyway, I found out that this guy has a website, so I checked it out and really liked what I read. So I had an idea...

Someone has helped me to get myself a site on webs dot com and set me up, so I've got a place to put all of my stuff; poems, rhymes, haikus, stories etc. It's a free site (because I'm poor and can't afford to pay for my own domain) but it will be my own. Tbh, I'm not really bothered if no one looks at it, I'm just happy that I have my own site now :D Saying that, obviously it would be nice to get know that people are curious enough to take a peek.

I'm not saying I'm good - I have a LONG way to go - but it's something I like to do. Most of the stuff I put up will be rubbish, but it shows growth, so I don't really care too much.

It's not much at the moment, but when everything's up and running, well...it probably still won't be much, but I've done it none-the-less. SO WATCH THIS SPACE!
