I need ideas on non-attorney things to do with my J.D. I'm not saying I'm necessarily going to forgo the attorney route completely, maybe stay active and learn new things until I find a niche I really enjoy. But in the meantime, I'm liking working in the field less and less. But I can't really figure out how to get out of it. I don't have ( Read more... )

I think you would really like the nonprofit world - counsel, lobbyist, etc. Jobs are few and far between these days, but it's worth a good look. And law school can generally be used a substitute in most government jobs - one year of school=one year of experience. So don't be scared out of applying by BA plus 3 years experience requirements.
