The Wheels on the Bus Go ...

Yay employment!

Today was my first day back after the holiday break. I got my upgraded license [FINALLY] in time to be able to work two days before the holiday break. That was just enough time to learn my new route and throw in some training! So now I'm driving the short bus, which is awesome 'cause I have a great bunch of kids and it's an all-around good route to have.

I haven't posted much because, well, why post when there's nothing good to post about? When I'm feeling down, it's hard enough to work up the energy to write about anything, let alone trying to write about something that's just going to bring everyone further down.

Seb spent the holidays in the hospital for a few days. While it wasn't an unexpected visit (he's going to be a step away from the hospital until he finally has his surgery), it 's also note fun for either of us. We're hopeful that the surgery will be what he finally needs to get things under control.

Now I'm trying to focus on some happier thoughts and my next big project - a new freshwater aquarium! I'm scoping out sales and doing some shopping around, but unfortunately I missed out on the Boxing week sales. It's going to take a couple of months to set up anyhow, so I guess I can be patient while I save up the money for everything. After I get the initial supplies, it'll take another 2-8 weeks to cycle before I start adding any fish. I've been super excited for this project for quite some time - since before we moved to Ottawa, in fact. I've also had the different species picked out for over a year! Anyhow, it's going to be a big tank and will be quite the feature in our tv/family room!
