It's a new year. 2006. The countdown begins. There is only 3 years now until we actually have a new president in office. Who will it be? Hopefully not another Republican who is obsessed with guns and killing and war, in the name of God, of course. (Side note: I saw a bumper sticker that was similar to those W.W.J.D. "What Would Jesus Do?" ones, but it was W.W.J.B. "Who would Jesus Bomb?" It's funny because He wouldn't.) Hopefully somebody who does not have an axis of evil. Hopefully somebody who knows the difference between nucular and nuclear. Hopefully somebody who has compassion. Hopefully not another person who is so paranoid they think the whole world is against them only to cause it to actually happen because they don't think America needs their help until the last minute when all our troops have died. Hopefully somebody who cares about health care and education. Hopefully.
But, that is 2008.
For now, I will enjoy my years as a poor college student. A 3rd year Junior at Wayne State University with a 3.83 grade point average. I will enjoy Music Theory IV, Ear Training IV, General Lectures and Concerts, Choral Union, Percussion, Jazz Combos, Music History II, and Applied Piano. I will do well in them as I have this past semester, and I will love every second of it as I have this past semester. I will go to the gym and eat healthier, or at least try my best at it. I will love my car that keeps stalling when I try to start it. I will love my Anthony more than ever, yes on purpose, who is such a sweetheart. I will try my best to enjoy my job, which today isn't hard because it was a pleasant surprise after my week long vacation that we weren't even open today, hooray! I will be even more thankful than I already am to my parents for all they do for me- living rent free, paying bills until I can afford them on my own, loving me for who I am, and sticking by me without saying a lot for what I want to do. I love you guys. I will hang out with my friends more- I don't know how I will find time, but I will make time somehow to do it. I love you guys, too.
Well, I am afraid my time here is done, but I look forward to seeing all of you in a few days or weeks, depending on the group. Peace out, kids!
