Bless me for I have twirled
As usual, it took me a lot longer to get ready for the Evil Empire party last night than I anticipated. This means that I left my house almost an hour after I was hoping. I really didn't get excited until I ran into Paul at Whole Foods. I picked up some yummies! I can't wait to eat my fruit tonight. I know, I'm silly.
I haven't been to the airport lounge before. I really liked the atmosphere and decor. I was over the 80's music within the first 20 minutes. I barely noticed the switch in music and was glad to have a different bounce. There weren't many dancers, not that I was expecting any. The outside area was just as interesting as the inside area. When we sat down near one of the video walls, it felt like the images were coming at me. Very freaky and I was sober.
I saw a lot of people that I haven't seen in a while. I was re-introduced to several people and met a few new people. nici13 posted photos.
I am very pleased with my evening. It definitely gave me a confidence boost. It was surprising how relaxed I was. *squeeeee*
I'm slightly sad that I am not going to X-Sanguin. Most people asked me about it, at least the ones that know me. I know I can back out of my other plans, I'm just not sure I want to change them again.
Today, I am exhausted. I didn't get to sleep until 2am and the boys woke me some time in the 5am hour. I don't know that I ever fully fell back to sleep. I may need a nap tonight. Or I could actually get to bed, er sleep, at a decent/early time.
