The obligatory year in review and look ahead.
It's very cold and windy here. It's a good day to stay home.
I'm getting over a major migraine. I haven't had one this bad in awhile. I'm guessing I've just eaten too much chocolate these past few weeks and it's built up in my system. We've had some REALLY good chocolate at work. Oh, the joys and dangers of working in an office!
In 2007, I resolved to live within my means, eat better and lose some weight, read through the whole Bible, and complete at least one costume.
Financially, I've had my ups and downs. This fall killed me between the car breaking, the computer dying, and Sydney being sick, along with my own stupidity adding fuel to that fire. Add to all that the rising cost of everything, and I can see things in 2008 will be tight.
I've improved my eating habits overall, though I've had moments of weakness, like the chocolate thing. I've managed to lose 25lbs. and keep it off over the holidays (Exercise has saved me, though I hate it.).
I will read the last few chapters in my Bible today. I'm glad I did that, but I'm also glad I'm finished. I don't think I will repeat this next year.
And I finished Bellatrix Lestrange in time for the July HP premieres - Yea!
A month-by-month review:
January - school starts up again - busy, busy, busy; Sydney is having seizures; beginning Bellatrix research - nothing but low rez pics and vids to look at!
February - winter blues - too much snow and an infected cyst; mice in my house; "shocking" Equus photos ;)
March - TLC publishes an OOTP preview with lots of details; Mugglenet come out with "What Will Happen" book (I have a feeling they may have fallen out of JKR's good graces for this and other missteps.).
April - Pittsburgh Comicon, OOTP trailers online, Virginia Tech, assured by several friends that I can still pull off Galadriel ;)
May - SW stamps, annoying cyst removed (not fun), finals, started sewing Bellatrix at last!
June - Sydney losing weight, Bella costume frustrations and triumphs, Alivan's - the ebony wand chooses me, twisted mind of a costumer - spent $100 on Bella's wig while buying everyday clothes at Goodwill ;) , vacation to
homefryes and Randy's.
July - HP, HP, HP w00t! Finished Bellatrix, movie premiere, book premiere, week's vacation and hermitage to read DH.
August - Yard sale finds, HPDH fanfic - the chapter JKR left out, school starts again - bleah, A & ML to look after ailing Sydney while I'm gone, DRAGON*CON!!!
September - post DC blues, car dies, grateful for friends, DC report, NEW CAR!!
October - Sydney's continuing health problems, begin reading

belluthien welcomes suggestions - the journey begins, Bellatrix passes out Halloween candy.
November - computer dies - must buy new tower, DSL - yea! NSF stupidity - GAH!, criticism of Gollum's phone greeting inspires letter to the editor hehe.
December - Sydney put to rest, continued editing fun with

hazelrah1 's news, finals, OOTP DVD, Christmas chaos and calm, Sweeney Todd
Resolutions for 2008:
Recover from the upheaval of fall's money headaches and try not to break anything else.
Keep my weight off and maybe lose another 5 lbs.
Edit: oh, yeah, I want to get more sleep.
And I want to go through this house room by room and throw/give away or sell stuff. I have too much stuff!!
Costumes: Dark Galadriel and a male character who shall remain nameless. ;)
