The vet called back and said that Sydney is not diabetic, his thyroid and kidneys are fine, but he's not getting any protein from his food. So for all intents and purposes, he's starving. The reason could be anything from digestive disorders to cancer. I guess we're going to try some broad-spectrum antibiotics and steroids (oral, so if there are any adverse effects, we can get it out of his system quickly), along with a different diet. So we'll see.
Although he hated his trip to the vet, he's felt better since. He's been in a real good mood this week.
The computer, on the other hand, died. Again. It was the mother board. They think they can salvage files from the old one this time, though. I bought a rebuilt tower from them and will pick it up tonight. I probably won't have a chance to set it up until late Saturday or Sunday, though.
I can't wait to have a computer at home again!
After working for this company for almost 16 years, I finally have a real office. I've graduated from cubicle land. YEA!
