Lots of Random Stuff
Well a little bit of everything in this post.
The paper published a rebuttal to my letter on gay rights. You guessed it: yet another Christian telling me that I'm not a REAL Christian. She threw I Corinthians 6:9-10 at me and took the time to explain what fornicators and idolaters are, because I guess she thinks I'm too stupid to know what those big words mean. Whatever.
Her piece was titled, "Biblical Message is Clear." Oh, really? It's so clear that Biblical scholars can't agree on what it says? It's so clear we have a gazillion denominations of Christianity?
I wrote a rebuttal back. We'll see if they publish it. I decided not to explain my thoughts on the Greek-to-English translation of that passage; I had a 300 word limit, after all.
I saw my pastor the next evening, and he commented on it. "She wouldn't think I was a real Christian, either, would she?" lol.

Idol producers are talking about bringing in guest judges in the wake of Paula's announced departure.
So they think the four judge panel worked so well last year they should continue it? WTF?

I'm totally hooked on a Nuke fan fic. If Van and Jake had this for a script, they would BOTH get an Emmy. You have to join Van Hansis.net to read it. It's by Spookything and it's called, "Weathering the Storm." Actually, I recommend reading, "Drowning" and "Rescue" first, as this continues the series. NC-17 in parts, and LOTS of angst. She stays true to the characters and has created some new ones that give Noah a family of sorts. And you will actually like Ameera in this story. Really.
The real show flounders and may be cancelled. The writing sucks. The acting pulls it out of the gutter, but there's only so much they can do.

I won't be posting much in the next month, and I will be extremely antisocial in my local circles, as I've had an unexpected project thrust upon me: the GPP pants. Nancy is not up to it. I guess the Energizer Bunny can't go on forever. Wish me luck.

Sunday: Bellatrix, possibly with a slight variation.
I know some will bring more costumes and change more often, but all of my stuff is fairly high maintenance, and I want to enjoy the con, not spend half the time in my room changing my look. :)
