Life has been improving or at least my attitude has. I decided I had to quit being a whiny bitch. I found joy in: marine creatures such as the seahorse, movies such as Raising Arizona, new music courtesy of Pandora, the Nintendo DS, beer, wine, and rum, brownies, bananas, chocolate milk, and hummus, changes at work, and the knowledge that I only need to aim for C's and I will graduate in...........6 months! I am so pleased about that. Sure I'll miss the forced exposure to educational materials, but I can read whatever I want for the rest of my life.

Now comes all the typical excitement and fear of the unknown future. I know I won't be going to grad school anytime soon, but that's about the only decision I've made so far. Meh, I've got six months. Besides planning ahead is for people who are still dumb enough to think life will actually go their way.

As for work, I have officially become my store's Window Treatment Specialist, which means more responsibilities, more hobnobbing with mucky-mucks, and no raise. But hey, I get my own desk, on the sales floor, and......I get my own office supplies! But seriously folks, I'm just happy for a change, any change.

The best news: I get to see Sam in 72 hours and again next week for the American Gluttony and Colonialism Festival.

Also fun Cat and I are going to see Jethro Tull on Wednesday. I saw them once before in 2000 but hopefully this time I'll be drunker. Maybe it will even inspire me to pick up the old flute again, and I don't mean in a band camp sort of way. (That one is for you Brian)
