Yea I drew something...can we put it on the fridge?
I had a lot of fun last night. Maybe even enough to get me through eight hours of xmas music and cranky customers at work. I danced with 6 girls nonstop in random rotation for 3 hours. Actually tonight I might get to see Sam so that alone should make the day okay.
Speaking of three straight hours of fun I played in a poker tournament the other night. It was really fun and I actually did okay. I don't really know what I was doing so I would raise at random times and this made it really hard for the guys to get a read on me. I say guys because it was a real sausage fest...out of 60 players, there were four women. I don't know when I've ever been in a room with so few women. But is was cool. I think I would have made it to the next round of tournaments but I thought I would probably have to work so I bet it all on three of a kind and lost to a full house. I saw this hat at spencers that says "poker bitch" and I decided I'll buy it for myself if I get any better soon.
Yes, I know, I actually went to the mall. Scary huh? Hey usually I just make a beeline for the videogame store and the falafel place and then get the hell out before I catch some sort of trendy disease. But it was really cold outside, and there was hardly anyone there. It was kind of peaceful.
Anyway a few days ago I gave my first real attempt at watercolor. I'm not happy with it but I am pleased by how much fun it was. maybe watercolors aren't the devil after all. So please take a look and if you know anything I could do to help (besides learn proportion, perspective, how to draw eyes etcetc) please let me know. I know better watercolors might help, and better paper. Any suggestions about cheapish and good? Also I really have no idea how to do a wash...is the appropriate amount of water some sort of universal truth that evades me? (Normie- I'm sorry for taking "artistic license" to attempt to express your beauty in a figure that looks little like you, in fact looks scarcely human...oh and for making your pretty prom dress and gorgeous hair more colorful :) I wuv you!)
