(no subject)
Totally over did it yesterday! But when opportunity presents...
I had the vehicle Friday in hopes that the bank account would show a cpl extra digits cuz we're still waiting for our tax return. But I don't want to talk 'bout it! :( I went 'n got some groceries 'n realized days ago that I had NO tomato seeds for salsa 'n all my dreams coming true this fall for fermentation depend on 'em! So I needed to get some Roma seeds desperately!!!! It's a little drive but they are more kind to mother earth then other seed companies! And they have variety, tested 'n true! So as I was passing the Community Centre on the way, I noticed a tree company cutting down the two big ole trees that needed to make way for paving this summer. So I stopped 'n asked the guy if wood chips were called for yet, 'n when he said No!, I asked them to drop it off! But no wood chips ever came! :(
Saturday morning I came to give renter key... 'n there was piles from the stump removal 'n wood laying over the driveway! The renters weren't goin for this, 'n who am I gonna call. So I took it on myself to clean it up. At least I'd get some kind of wood chips from the ground out stumps. I called Jim cuz he wanted the wood, so at least that was taken care of right away cuz he uses the wood too! So wishing I had a pick 'em up truck, I took all the recycling bins 'n garbage bags 'n an amigo 'n we started filling 'em up 'n driving back 'n forth till it was all cleaned up! It only took me 5 hrs! Then I raked in some gravel so their cars wouldn't bottom out... Now the renters would be happy, 'n the cedars would be happy cuz the mulch would keep moisture in the ground, 'n despite physically tired; the heart was happy! Cuz that's what matters right!?
Next opportunity came when the neighbour left! Yup, that one! So I had a chance to actually work on that side of the property pulling weeds... without being stared at, threatened...
I could use another bath! Yup, I had a bath last weekend!!! I was running around doing errands on Sat. morning 'n when I came back Jame was scrubbing the bathroom 'n informed me that he was gonna bring water in for a bath. Happy Birthday to me!!! I've only wanted that for the last two 'n I didn't realize that I just had to wait a cpl years 'n my wish would come true!!! So early evening, it was ready 'n it was green! What I've always wanted! An algae bath! David 'n Victoria would be so jealous!!! :D So for an hour, I was in heaven! :) And then I told him that I didn't pee in it, so if he wanted to add a bit of warmth, he could take advantage!
The only price: Everything in the bathroom that was stainless steel has been ruined by acid! *sigh* Now there's rust! He told me to get ceramic. Nothing pretty 'n shiny is safe around him when he decides to clean!
Other then that, everyone has had a touch of whatever "bug" Jame brought home from work last weekend! Unfortunately I've been cheating 'n doin' the lazy thing (pizza...) lately cuz I've been so busy, so our bodies were good environments for the microscopic shite disturbers! I even went 'n got icecream with brownies for the family before the "bug" came! OMG! Icecram is the worst thing for ur lungs... 'n it creates the perfect environment for 'em. I think I was having a bad day! ;) So it's been broth, garlic, homemade kombacha to keep them unhappy 'n give the body a better fighting chance! They said in areas where they consume lots of fermented foods like kimchi... there was not a single report of avian flu... I can't wait to get more organized 'n get into bein' a fermentista!
More evidence that it comes down to bacteria. This is why I don't like Nise's Dr. D. The only thing he seems to be doin' from what she's told me is stimulating cells with all these supplement powders at cost too! And the non-coincidence of feeling better is b/c she's changed the way she eats. Which is what the body recognizes! Chemicals from the whole package along with food for the bacteria which creates NEW cells! Started getting into another book that confirms what I believe 'n excited to finish. More on Super Genes later! :)
I should probably go home 'n start my seeds hey!?! And I should water all the little currant bushes that I planted along pathway! And the clover seed could go down...
A women's work is never done! Makes me look forward to another week where time stands still! :)
