well, on the jewish category, and on the om'ish one as well, i have recently been going to services at IKAR which is a newish congregation in LA, founded by some families and rabbi sharon brous, who used to be at BJ in new york. i'm not sure if you still do the conservative thing, but if you do, you should check it out... as if you haven't already i'm sure. but that's my two cents. and oh, the point of this note was that at IKAR, we say the sh'mah like a meditative mantra... each word with an entire full exhalation. shmaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh yisraeeeeeeeeeeel adonaaaaaaaaiiiii (you get it)
i love you. i want to see/talk to you soon. but it turns out i won't be coming to new york next weekend after all. have to tend to work stuff here. too bad though i'll make it out eventually or you'll have to come visit us over here
p.s. glass blowing also gets a big vote from me
p.p.s. book clubs are okay sometimes, as long as it has a good name, and peopel who arent' too terribly stupid/annoying
p.p.p.s. on the alum'ish note, don't give any $$ to uofc until they agree to divest from sudan
