*Spent all saturday morning painting pictures on the walls of a child abuse center
*FINALLY got got to draw a nude FEMALE model! BOOBIES!!!!!!
*That's about it, went to the beach n saw a movie n other hangout stuff.
It kinda stinks though, most of the kids here are pretty highschooled out (the whole shebang, cliques drama and everything), it makes it hard to relate with a lot of the kids here. It's not that I'm having trouble meeting people or anything, I mean there are some pretty chill dudes n gals, it's just I didn't expect an art school crowd to have such superficial personalities. But these kids ARE highschool kids afterall, and at least they're my age instead of being adults (and HYPER-LOSERS) like in Tampa.
Students aside, the RAs and most of the teaching staff and TAs are pretty awesome. My RA specifically is a pretty rad dude, he's an Alabama grafitti artist and is probably the chillest dude I've ever met. My printmaking class TA is pretty rad (probably the scenest person I've ever met), she makes and prints her own clothes, she has this sickass faux-hawk/fashion-mullet hybrid, we spent pretty much an entire class period talking about bands. This other RA on one of the lower floors, we got into a discussion about asian filmography (Korean ones particularly), we chilled out and watched Old Boy. Coolest gay dude ever (I sure hope he doesn't make a move on me though!).
And that is pretty much the state of things. I am finding myself enjoying all of my classes and enjoying my work, I'm pretty excited for REAL college.
Oh yeah, I ran out of a lot of my "medicine" and am literally dying from a lack of cigarettes, I need to coordinate some sort of drop-off to get some of those materials somehow (you will be rewarded handsomely!!!!)
Oh yeah, and also I MISS YALLS QUITE DEARLY!
