12 days to go.

The countdown gets serious once you're no longer in the teens.

I've got the routine memorised. I no longer have to look at my piece of paper to know which combo is next. Now, it's all about muscle memory.

It's also about not stopping, because on the night you can't stop. You can't stop and start the song over. So I practice and if I forget, I practice at making things up. I'm at the point that if I do pull off the move at the right beat of the song, I can add a flourish here and and an extra caress there.

I'm so excited. After all of this I can claim that I've danced my own routine in front is a crowd of people (because of course I always dance my own routines at home... Maybe with an accompanying hair brush for lip syncing).

Here is the list of combos that are in my routine:

  • Climb, sit, layback, mermaid legs, spinning climb, back stag.
  • Climb, aerial invert, back stag, ankle lock, hand stand.
  • Floor start, side spinning climb, ballerina, semi-rocket woman.
  • Spinning climb, starfish, superman, land in a split.
