Ok so now that I have a few minutes, I'll give the updates for the proposal and what not
Adam and I went on a trip to Indiana Dunes National Lake Shore--which is right on Lake Michigan. For those of you in Chicago, I was about 54 miles away from you and I didn't visit--I know, I'm a horrible person.
Anyhoo, so we were out walking on a GORGEOUS day--brilliant blue sky without a cloud in it as far as the eye could see. The white sandy beach was COMPLETELY deserted, and the sand was warm between the toes. Very picturesque :)
We decided to go walk up some of the sand dunes that are about 200 feet high. Going up barefoot was an adventure, since we didn't want to get sand in our shoes. Basically for every step we took up, we fell back about half a step, so it took us literally 20 minutes to get to the top. About half way up my feet were starting to hurt from stepping on these little stones and twigs and what not, so I told Adam he would owe me a foot rub later on.
We got to the top of Mount Holden (184 feet high I think LOL) and I was taking pictures of the LOVELY view of the dune and beach. Adam said something to the effect of, "You know how you said that I would owe you a foot rub later on?" And I said, "Yeah." So he replied, "What if I gave you something better?"
He came up behind me while I was overlooking the water and opened the ring box. I instantly reverted back into little girly mode (i.e. my thoughts in my head: "OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD") while he was doing his little speal.
Unfortunately, I don't know 98% of what he said since I was too busy bawling like a little baby. I snapped back into reality when he said, "You are the best thing that's ever happened to me." So I whipped around and he was on one knee and then he asked me to marry him (insert "Awwws" here).
So that's the basics of the whole proposal and what not since people have been heckling me about it (since I promised lol).
If you want more basics or pics, I can fill you in
