a day in Vietnam

Since arriving in Vietnam, I haven't gone for more than 4 hours without being made to eat. I am very anxious about what this means for all the weight I've lost lately.

The actual food is good, but I am surprised at how similar it is to a meal at a typical Cantonese restaurant. There is hella seafood and sometimes the flavorings are more sweet/spicy/fish sauce-y, but it's not as strong as Thai/Malaysian.

I am generally surprised at how similar Vietnam is to China. In Quang Ninh most people can speak conversational Mandarin, and there are lots of signs in Chinese!
