Chicago Sun-Times: Durbin for U.S. Senate
Chicago Tribune: Durbin for U.S. Senate

The Tribune article is not as glowy as I had hoped for, but the Tribune ed board is also staunchly conservative. They endorsed Obama for President, too, but apparently it is the first time in Tribune history that it has supported the Democratic candidate.

The Sun-Times article about Durbin gives me warm fuzzies, though.

Why is it that John McCain can actually be close friends with a criminal but he can campaign on Barack Obama's former terrorist colleague? Is the connection not so much closer in McCain's case?

I do have a politics filter and I promise to use it more only only only when it comes to Richard J. Durbin and why everyone should love him, I get a little sidetracked. Next time.
