year of the matsuri
I went to another Matsuri today, this time at Brandeis, and met up with Angela ♥
It ended up being more of a catch-up session for us because they were running very late and some of their acts were given way too much time... no one wants to watch nearly an hour of softcore martial arts with no explanation or mats. They also didn't have much in terms of activities or food :/ But they tried, and it was a valiant first effort. I'm very disappointed that I ended up being the only one there again -- you can't expect people to come to your events if you don't come to theirs. Reciprocity is a basic requirement.
We left early and I visited Angela's apartment before meeting up with teh Shirlz at Dado Tea, moving to the COOP, and then Tea Stop. I finished my last readings of the semester and planning for papers is full underway.
I was really glad to get the time to talk and hang out with Angela, though ♪ I wish I had taken better advantage of the fact that we are all still in the same general area. I'm daunted by how easily people can lose touch.
I've been talking and thinking about the future a whole lot recently. I'm excited but afraid to expect too much.
