I've gone to public schools all my life too, but my cousins have gone to private prep schools all their lives. And I think my opinion differs from you. I think they've gotten better education, but maybe it's also because it's in their genes to learn better and easier. And I just fail. XDD;
You lived in Willowbrook for all of school, right? I dont remember. But anyway. I think we have been extremely lucky with our schools, and I personally am sure sure that I got as good an education as most of the private schools in our area (if not better).
But yeah, public school in CA...not so much. I just remember that we used to be assigned numbers that we always had to put by our names, I guess to make gradebooks easier for teachers or something. The numbers were alphabetical, like straight down the list, and I remember my number being 39 one year. Meaning there were OVER 39 people in an elementary school class. I could almost swear my number was 42 another year...but I can't believe that could be right....? We also had one set of textbooks for the entire grade, and we would rotate them with the lessons.
