The fact that Asian males are portrayed by the media is generally unattractive is something that has been coming up a lot recently-- at least for the events and things that I go to-- and the statistics are interesting. It's probably totally inappropriate that this data makes me feel a little better about my place in the world. :x
I have nothing against Asian boys, though, especially when they can look like this. I'm not nearly as superficial as I sound... really. But in my experience, most of the Asian boys I know/see are more attracted to caucasians. I guess that doesn't mean they get caucasian girls, but still. The pop stars/idols are a bit different, I think, because they live in countries where the population is homogenous and interracial relationships are less possible. Although-- look at Akanishi Jin and his Brazilian-Japanese model girlfriend. Grr.
