The company's not doing so hot, and people were let go today. It's small enough that each one is quite a blow -- there's no one that really deserved it. We're also reshuffling priorities, and after the 4-hour management meeting today I lost my will to do anything at all.
Apparently the next month is do or die!
I still feel very loyal to my boss. Disappointed, maybe. I don't know how to tell him about my plans, and when. This week, I think, maybe. I don't want to add to anyone's troubles but I don't believe in doing anything in a lukewarm way.
Worst case scenario: he tells me to pack up this month and I don't get the last month of salary I was hoping for (I actually think we're paid a month in advance so I might be scheduled to get it this week...), and I have the rest of November to clean up. That's not so bad and given our lack of resources it doesn't seem like a great idea.
Best case scenario: he says I can stay on and off until mid-December and tells me to call him up when I'm back. Not expecting this one, either.
