Finished this in a sitting yesterday:
This Is Where I Leave You by Jonathan Tropper
I didn't expect to be so drawn in. Tropper does remind me of Nick Hornby but better (faster, deeper?), and I felt very invested in the characters. I love the jacket design and I want to read more of his books.
The books I buy fall into very clear categories. It's always either fantasy, spirituality (read: written by Paulo Coelho), or about messed-up men. This one falls under the last category.
I really miss being in a bookstore where everything is in English and I have to spend hours sorting through things I like for something to buy.
I only have two more English books on my shelf that I haven't read yet, and both look like huge time commitments: The Man Who Ate Everything, The Time Traveler's Wife. I want to pick some more things up from Book Off sometime soon.
