On Saturday I rolled around in bed and went to volunteer orientation for a group that gives free tours near Tokyo Station. I had to pay a bunch to become a member and there are still hoops to jump through, but it sounds like an interesting opportunity and I have high hopes. I couldn't stand the lecturing, though, so I wrote my name down for the history session and then skipped. Yeah yeah.
Today, I managed to drag myself out of bed and to Shibuya by 10:30 for a hula class! We were dancing to a song called "
maile swing"-- it was really cute, and it was almost like learning sign language?! I learned a lot, and I want to go again!
After that, I went to volunteer at a children's home -- we were making balloons for a
Setsubun event this week:
I did a better job of taking it easy this weekend. I baked my own bread, made bread pudding, and tofu jigae too -- hoping to have more cooking to show soon.
