Kyoto is famous for autumn leaves! I missed the foliage season, but thought I'd catch what was left. I'm usually too busy during the best seasons to go to Kyoto :((( I don't know if I'll be around for another year of chances.
Shiga, a neighboring prefecture, is home to the largest lake in Japan. I didn't have time to do any tourism, really, but I did loiter around the lake and take pictures of the huge pine tree at Karasaki Shrine.
The blue bench made me think of Sasuke's
aoi bench (one of the best songs ever!) and I enjoyed hanging out there.
In news from Tottori... our sand dunes are lit up! This year's theme is Love in Inaba, and the sand statue is based on the
white rabbit of Inaba legend.
