this week from makuhari
I'm in Chiba this week for the CIR Mid-year Conference (which has thus far been much better than last year).
Tonight our other American CIR (there are only two of us in the prefecture!), who is a very nice person, took pity on me and invited me out with his friends for dinner like he did last year. I wavered, but decided to take him up on it and ended up having a really great night.
Mostly I talked with him, and I don't know if it's because he's Hawaiian but later in the night there was leaning and hugging and all of the things that destroy me in beautiful ways. I don't know if he'll remember promising to hang out again in the morning, but it was a good night♥
I have been otherwise abandoned by my other CIR friends in favor of their Tokyo people, but it's all good. Hmph.
