So things starting getting crazy yesterday at work, and now it's the day before the big weekend of events. The good thing is that we're getting muffins, bagels, drinks, pizza, etc. all day long. yay for free food! There's several things I'd like to be doing this weekend (visit Smith or go to the huge local dance competition), but instead I am working. I have finally hemmed my red ball gown, so I'll be ready to go Saturday night (for those of you who don't remember the sophomore year Ball chaos of getting a dress, ask Aliya...she is the master temporary seamstress).
My mom and aunt are driving down to DC as I write this to participate in the festivities. I'm very excited to see them, but it should be interesting to see how I feel about the situation on Sunday night after they've stayed with me for two days.
Last night was the first quiet night at home in awhile. And of course, I watched Friends. Is it pathetic that I cried? A lot? I have quite an attachment to the show. Ok, this will reveal what a loser I am, but I watched a lot of Friends while I was in Germany, and it was like a little piece of home in my lonely little apartment...comfort TV if you will. Yes, go ahead and laugh now.
On a happier note, I got to hang out with Kendra this week!!! She came to visit, and we celebrated Cinco de Mayo with Mexican food and margaritas. Lots of fun. So at least I got to see one weetibug this week! We also reminisced about the good times...remember when Kendra saw my innards? I believe it was when I was extremely intoxicated post-streaking at Senior Banquet. Ah, those were the days - drunken nakedness. Doing it outside of Smith just isn't the same...the neighbors complain and give me dirty looks.
