Yep, Max, I'm alive :) I did get kinda scared yesterday, though. Craig was forced to go to work yesterday, and his restaurant was the only one open yesterday, so they were slam packed once the hurricane passed.
I didn't really know what to expect, but I think we got off pretty easy. When I woke up yesterday it wasn't even raining, just a little windy. Craig's like "Well, so much for the hurricane." I told him to wait...it's coming. I was scared, but I was also kinda excited...Weird, huh. He left for work around 10am, and around 11am the winds started getting really strong. When I looked at my window I couldn't see even 5 feet because the wind and rain. I think the highest gusts we got were up to 75 mph. I stepped outside of my apartment during the heavy winds in this alcove kinda thing. I could stand there and watch it without getting wet. The small trees were all being pulled out by their roots. Around 2pm I decided to drive over to the office to see if there was any damage. Cocoa village (where I work) didn't fare too well. There was lots of debris blocking the roads, no power, signs blown over, ect. So I left and came back home :) I was hoping the power would be out still here today, but of course it's not!! Now it's freezing cold here (for Florida)...a cool 55 I think. An apartment complex about 10 min. from me got hit by a tornado, and the whole roof of one apt. unit got torn off. We're lucky that wasn't us...So all in all, not that exciting, but that's probably a good thing. Still one month left in hurricane season!
