Talk about your abnormal crappy day. I hate to piss and moan about crap like this, but apart from doing some old doctor's bitch work for 15$, I just spent the past hour and a half bailing out my basement. That's right, bailing it out. Seems that the sewer has back fired or something to that effect and our house is in ground zero. Just when I seemed to be making headway, someone would flush the toilet or turn on the sink, then the storm drain would barf out a nasty assortment of water and God-knows what. It's going to be fixed tomorrow morning, so hopefully I can hold down the fort until then. I turned off all the water to the sinks and toilets, so hopefully that will slow things down. It looks as though things have stoped flooding for now, but we'll see. Now I know how Noah felt. If nothing else, at least I was able to use my combat boots to fulfill an actual purpose.
I have an interview Thursday at Perry Personnel. We'll see if they will agree to give me lots of money this summer. I hope so.
I'm sorry about my last post. I didn't mean to trick you. I actually spent the better part of an hour trying to make one of those music collages that I have enjoyed on some of your journals, but once I posted the code behind the cut, all I got was just random text, then I was all like "Shit, shit, I am dumbasses!," Canada was all like "What's going on, eh?!" Mars was laughing at me. So now I've got nuclear winter and everyone is dead, except for Austrailia who is still like "WTF, Mate?!"
It's been like 20 minutes since the last time I mopped by the storm drain and there doesn't appear to be any new leakage. Could it be the worst is over? Let's hope. I don't think I'd like to sleep in a flooded basement. I've never tried it, but I don't think I'd like it.
