Buhscuuuuuze me?

So, I just have to say...there is NOTHING wrong with wanting to be a mother. Parenthood can be one of the most respectable aspects of someone's life. For someone to look at me like I'm an idiot or like they feel sorry for me because being a mother is what I've always wanted to be, is an insult.

I have no problem with my ambition to be a full-time mom. I'm going to school for many reasons, one of them being so that I have a back-up. I may not like being at home all the time, I may not be able to have kids, etc. Also, I like to learn, even though I have a love/hate relationship with school.

The whole idea of "women's rights" is that women should have the right to choose to do what they want. This is what I want. It is NOT demeaning or out-dated for me to want to do this. It is simply...what I want.

All in all, I feel sorry for this particular person who feels "sorry" for me. How awful it must be to look at someone with disdain who wants to be there to raise her (future) children. What a slap in the face to all the women and men who have dedicated their lives and time to being full-time moms and dads.

I'm not really that upset about it, 'cuz this guy is not usually a douche bag. But, today he was...and it's annoying.

Other stuff:

Chris got the job with the Post Office and will be a full-time mail carrier. We are very excited and we are going to be able to move to Bloomington! I think this is going to be a fantastic opportunity for us to get a fresh start as a newly married couple. It'll be sad to be away from our friends and family, but we're also looking forward to being in a new city all alone and relying on each other. I think it'll be so important for our relationship, and I can't wait.

Also, got a really cute new haircut...and I'm cute now. Just so you know. :)

Hope you're all well. ♥
