Humor, parodies, the funny twists and turns that help keep life in perspective...Those are the things I'm asking for in this timed challenge -- start posting Friday, 2 September, and finish by Sunday, 4 September.
All pairings welcome...as long as they can make us laugh! So, I dare you to make laughter-filled memories!
In this time of such overwhelming tragedy and the magnitude of the disaster, I’m asking for laughs.
As a few know, I live in Louisiana, one of the places affected by Hurricane Katrina. I was one of the lucky ones, and in the west, we only got rain and some wind. But, it is still so much for the mind to handle. I think I’m living in the second-largest city in the state now because of all the evacuees and refugees.
I challenge the authors of this site to give what they do best: STORIES! Stories that can lighten the atmosphere, leaven the emotions, give us a laugh!
Requirements:
1) One-shots only (300 to 1000 words, at least)
2) Time constraint: From Friday, 2 September, until Midnight, Sunday, 4 September
3) NO ANGST, NO VIOLENCE, NO NON-CON
4) Humor, parody, etc. is not only greatly-appreciated but necessary
