lovely weekend
This not drinking malarky feels quite nice. Onto second lot of antibiotics in 2 months, after not taking any for many many years. So off the booze til friday. Makes you realise how drunk other people are, which pleases the overwhelming part of my psyche concerned with self-righteousness. Have managed two dinner engagements, one wedding reception and chinese new year sober and think after this weekend will try and stay dry for the rest of lent - the Irish boyf might not help matters there.
Chinese new year was fun - lovely time in Birmingham, thanks to all those I saw there. In fact yesterday my chinese neighbour came around with some little foodie things she had made for new year for me. Her english is v bad and so I am not sure if I need to steam them first - must try and corner her daughter - lovely gesture. I will repay her by having numerous loud and drunk friends staying this weekend.
Very happy today - with thoughts of party at weekend and having my boy over and then going to Ireland the weekend after and then Paris for Easter (bless him, my ex has offered us his flat to stay in if we want) with my boy. ANd having a good day at work. Just waiting for the catch.
