Ada had made a promise, and it was one she intended to keep. She'd fired off a text message during class, and was now walking out of the preserve, class finished, keeping an eye on one classmate in particular.
They were nearing the school and-- "Cassandra?" she called out, stopping in place as the rest of the students got farther away from them. "A word, if'n you got a moment?"
